Every room asks you to defeat a set number of yokai. The faster you kill them, the faster the next ones pour in, so a strong build turns each room into a sprint.

Fifty rooms a world, and three worlds a run
Build something broken
After each room you pick an upgrade while the game keeps running, then walk through the torii gate. Weapons and stats stack up until your hero clears the screen on their own.
Beat the boss
Every tenth room is a boss fight. Each boss has its own attacks that you learn to read, like the Wanyudo King rolling across the arena as a burning wheel.

Three heroes are ready from the start. You unlock the rest by pulling off feats during your runs, and every one of them changes how a run plays.

Bring up to seven friends
Up to eight players fight through the same rooms together online. Everyone picks their own upgrades at the same time, and if you go down, a friend who stands next to you can bring you back.

Race the clock
Speedrun mode adds a timer, splits and par times. Run a Sprint through rooms 1 to 10 or a whole World of 50 rooms, on the Daily seed, a fixed seed or a random one, solo or in co-op. Finished runs go up on the online leaderboard.
